I just finished a self-funded week long workshop to devise a new play with my grad school friend and world’s best collaborator, Rachel Sanderson. Still untitled, this play explores Shakespeare’s most amazing duo: Juliet and her Nurse. We started on Monday with a whole lot of research, Shakespeare’s text, and no idea what story we wanted to tell. On Saturday, we read our first draft to friends, family, and donors to the project.
